Home game in the Super Bowl: Rams meet the Bengals


Los Angeles (SID) - Home game for the Los Angeles Rams in the 56th Super Bowl: After beating Tom Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Californians also won the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers (20:17) and attacked on 13. The team from Ohio prevailed against the favorite Kansas City Chiefs 27:24 after overtime and made it into the Super Bowl for the first time since 1989. Kicker Evan McPherson scored the decisive field goal. The Chiefs had won the Super Bowl with star quarterback Patrick Mahomes in 2020 and only failed in the final last year at the Buccaneers.

The Rams were down 7-17 against San Francisco before quarterback Matthew Stafford turned the game around with a touchdown pass. After Tampa Bay 2021, they are the second team in NFL history with a home game for the Super Bowl. The German professional Mark Nzeocha, who was recently called up to the 49ers team, was not used on Sunday.
