Mühling shoots storks to victory at SSV Jahn Regensburg

The difference of one goal brought Holstein Kiel the three against SSV Jahn Regensburg. The match ended 2:1. Observers had given both teams equal chances of winning in the run-up - but only one knew how to prevail. The SSV was successful in the first leg and won 3-0.

Steve Breitkreuz served Scott Kennedy, who scored to make it 1-0 in the eleventh minute. Julian Korb used the chance for the storks and put the ball into the net to make it 1-1 in the 34th minute. At half time the game was still completely open.

The interim result was a draw. Alexander Mühling was there and marked the 2:1 in Kiel (58th). All in all, Holstein Kiel recorded a 2-1 win against Regensburg.

At SSV Jahn Regensburg, the defense was always shaky given the 30 goals they conceded. However, the offensive also liked to hit the opposing goal (39). With 31 points from 20 games, the home team is currently in the middle of the table. The SSV currently has nine wins, four draws and seven defeats. The last games were disappointing and so Regensburg managed only one win in five games.

With three points under their belt, the Storks moved up the table and now occupy eleventh place. The guest currently has six wins, seven draws and seven defeats. The last results from Kiel were impressive - eight points from five games.

SSV Jahn Regensburg meets FC Schalke 04 on Saturday (1:30 p.m.), one day later and at the same time Holstein Kiel hosts Fortuna Düsseldorf.
