Lewandowski with doubts about Haaland and Mbappé

Robert Lewandowski has expressed doubts about whether Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland can follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. (NEWS: All current information about the Bundesliga)

The Argentine and the Portuguese had dominated world football for years. Some observers are now also predicting such a future for Haaland and Mbappé. Lewandowksi is still skeptical.

Lewandowski: Mbappé and Haaland not at the level of Messi and Ronaldo
"They have what it takes, but who knows if there won't be other strikers in the next two or three years," said the Pole in an interview with France Football. "I can't imagine them dominating international football like Messi and Ronaldo have for the last 12 years." (DATA: Bundesliga results and fixture list)

Messi and Ronaldo made history "by winning all kinds of trophies. I think there will be several players competing to be the best in the world over the next ten years.” (DATA: Bundesliga results and fixture list)

Nevertheless, Lewandowski distributed praise to the two youngsters. While Haaland is "fast, explosive and technically very strong" with a lot of self-confidence and "a wide range of qualities", Mbappé has "an immense callousness in front of goal" and is "brilliant with both feet".

Lewandowski was not the winner of the world footballer election organized by France Football last year. Instead, Messi had won.

On Saturday, the 33-year-old lost 4-2 with Bayern at VfL Bochum.
